Research

The Søren Kierkegaard Research Centre (SKC) aims to conduct and promote interdisciplinary Kierkegaard research at both national and international level.

H.P. Hansen, 1854

SKC became embedded in the University of Copenhagen (KU) under the Faculty of Theology (TF) in 2010, and now wishes to consolidate and further develop its current status as the global centre for Kierkegaard research.
SKC's objective is to remain the key national, international and interdisciplinary meeting point for Kierkegaard researchers, and to provide a research environment in which various research and interpretation traditions are able to interact in an atmosphere of fruitful and open dialogue and interaction. SKC wishes to conduct its research and other activities at the nexus between historical reconstruction and up-to-date application.

SKC aims to establish itself as the research institution at which all PhD students and junior researchers who wish to conduct research into Kierkegaard stay, preferably for at least two semesters, under the supervision of SKC's permanent researchers and/or the senior researchers temporarily based here.
